The first step in treating your liposuction scars begins with a careful examination by one of our board-certified plastic surgeons or dermatologists. We begin all consultations with biometric analyses of your scars to examine the skin for inflammation, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, texture loss, or excessive fibrosis and collagen formation. Inflamed, hypertrophic, and keloid scars require immediate attention in order to minimize long-term scarring. If there's associated hyperpigmentation of your liposuction scar, we will address this with topical creams such as Melarase in order to reduce hyperpigmentation and overaggressive melanin deposition.
Atrophic Scars
